There are also mixed forms of the threads. After a local anaesthesia, the sagging skin areas are gently pulled upwards and backwards by the threads, resulting in a tightening of the facial skin or neck. Within 12 to 36 months, the stitches dissolve and leave no scars whatsoever in the normal course.
