What is an antigen test?
The antigen rapid test can detect viral antigens directly within minutes. In this process, proteins or envelopes of the proteins of the virus are detected.
When is an antigen test useful?

How does the testing work?
Our medical staff will take a sample from your throat with a cotton swab (throat swab) or from the nasal cavity (nasal swab). This procedure takes only a few seconds and causes no pain. The sample is then applied to a specially developed test cassette and the result appears after about 10 to 15 minutes. If you would like to test yourself for the coronavirus, we recommend that you simply book a free appointment online.
Can I come to Dermacare with symptoms?
Our Antigen rapid test is intended for persons without Corona symptoms. If you have fever, sore throat or shortness of breath, please call 1450 or your family doctor. You can also have the PCR gargle test collected at Dermacare.
What are the differences to the PCR test?
The antigen rapid test also directly detects SARS-CoV-2. However, a PCR test tests for the genetic material of the virus, whereas the antigen rapid test tests for a protein of the virus. The antigen rapid test does not require a laboratory and the result is available after 15 minutes. You will then receive an e-mail with a link to the result and a photo of the result.
Is the antigen test reliable?
The antigen rapid test has an accuracy of 98.98%. The test is certified and registered in Austria in the EU registry for medical devices.

If you are bringing a test for someone else, please make sure you bring the eCard and a photo ID of the person for whom the test analysis is being done.
Dermacare only provides the service of sample collection (PCR test) for testing for COVID-19. The analysis, preparation and transmission of the results is carried out by Labor Mustafa. When the results are ready, the laboratory will send you access to your results by e-mail.
