What does SHR mean?
SHR is the short form for Super Hair Removal. It is a patented technique for permanent hair removal. SHR has all the advantages in one system, which achieves the best results in permanent hair removal with the gentlest and virtually painless treatment. Even lighter or thinner hair, which was previously difficult or impossible to remove, can now be treated successfully. The SHR is the first treatment to use an “In-Motion-Method”.
The treatment for permanent hair removal is much more pleasant than with conventional systems and the skin is better protected.
As darker skin or a tan is no longer a problem, you are now completely free to decide when to start permanent hair removal. Even blond or gray hair can be treated in almost all cases. The same applies to skin types. While only relatively light skin types could be treated with permanent hair removal with IPL (Intensive Pulsed Light) or laser, permanent hair removal with SHR is now possible for almost all hair and skin types without any problems.
The previously shaved hairs are still in the skin after the treatment and, depending on the body region, are shed and fall out within 1-3 weeks. A successfully treated hair root is no longer able to produce new hair. In order to ensure permanent hair removal, you should expect at least 6 sessions at intervals of about 4-8 weeks. The repetition of the treatment is necessary, as only 12-15% of the hairs in the body grow. Only the hairs that are in the growth phase (anagen phase) can be treated optimally. The remaining follicles are in a resting state (do not produce hair) and are usually not successfully removable even with SHR technology.
