What is SHR technology?
SHR stands for Super Hair Removal and describes an innovative technique for permanent hair removal. In contrast to conventional laser systems, SHR works with an “in-motion” method in which the laser is guided over the skin in gentle movements, making the treatment even more comfortable and gentle on the skin. The Spectra Inwave 4 laser from Dermacare offers modern 4-wavelength technology (755 nm, 810 nm, 940 nm and 1064 nm) that targets all relevant skin layers. Hair roots at different depths are treated in a targeted manner, even with lighter or finer hair.

How does permanent hair removal with SHR work?
During SHR treatment, the laser light is directed specifically into the hair roots and destroys them so that they can no longer produce new hair. Depending on the area of the body, the hair falls out within 1-3 weeks of the treatment. However, as only around 12-15% of hairs are in the active growth phase (anagen phase) at any one time, several sessions are required to successfully treat all hairs. As a rule, 6-8 treatments at intervals of around 4-8 weeks are required to achieve long-term hair-free results.
