What is acne?

In the past, acne was also called fin rash, and this always refers to a disease of the sebaceous gland apparatus and the hair follicles. Every hair on the body has sebaceous glands under the surface of the skin and when these produce blackheads, inflammation can then occur in the further course. These inflammations appear in the form of nodules, pustules or papules. Younger people in particular often suffer from acne or skin impurities for years. Most often acne appears on the face, but it can also occur on the chest, back and neck. The most common form of acne is acne vulgaris. Most often, this form occurs in connection with hormonal changes.

It is a disinfecting and soothing treatment that combines a diamond abrasion and a fruit acid peeling in addition to the classic cleansing.

Diamond abrasion is an exfoliating treatment that uses diamond attachments to gently remove dead skin layers such as calluses. Crystals are blasted onto the skin at top speed and then sucked out by a vacuum. The skin can thus form new cells again and regenerate quickly.

A fruit acid peeling belongs to the chemical peelings, since we work here with alpha hydroxy acids (i.e. fruit acids). Fruit acids are always organic acids found in fruits and plants. We often use acids derived from grapes, apples, lemons or sugar cane, for example. In this process, the acid is applied to the surface of your skin and gently penetrates the skin. This has a regenerative effect and your skin becomes softer and smoother.

What is the procedure of our anti-acne facial treatment?

After a professional cleansing of the skin, a facial tonic is applied to prepare the skin for the following care. This is followed by exfoliation, during which superficial layers of skin are gently removed. Depending on your skin type and skin irritation, our professionals will decide which peeling treatment is best for your skin. For example, an enzyme peeling or diamond abrasion is used for skin that is very keratinized but not severely irritated. Fruit acid peeling can be used on all skin types and, if necessary, an ampoule with disinfecting and soothing ingredients is also included.

Our experts use different treatment methods depending on the needs and requirements. The duration of an anti-acne facial treatment is between 60 and 75 minutes. To achieve a long-term effect, the treatment should be repeated every 4 weeks.
