The SHR technology, where SHR stands for Super Hair Removal, is a patented technique for permanent hair removal. While only relatively light skin types could be treated with permanent hair removal with IPL (Intensive Pulsed Light) or the “normal” laser, permanent hair removal for men with SHR is now possible for almost all skin and hair types without any problems.
The quadruple diode laser technology of our laser combines the four most effective laser wavelengths for hair removal, so that all areas of the hair root in the different depths of the skin can be reached simultaneously during the treatment. The Spectra Inwave 4 combines the wavelengths of 755nm, 810nm, 940nm and 1064nm in one device for the first time, making it possible to treat (almost) all skin and hair types.

1. Consultation
Before the treatment, a consultation is always held under dermatological supervision in which all questions can be clarified. Of course, the Dermacare staff treating you will also provide you with expert advice on all aspects of permanent hair removal with laser.
2. Anamnesis questionnaire
An anamnesis questionnaire is also completed during the consultation and before each treatment. This enables possible risks to be recognised and prevented.
3. Cleansing the skin
Before the hair removal treatment, the skin is cleaned, disinfected and the hair is shaved if this has not already been done.
4. Shaving the skin
Shaving the hair ensures that the laser beam can hit the skin and hair unhindered.
5. Subdivision of the skin area
The area of skin to be treated is divided into sections with a pen, which are later treated one by one with the hair removal laser. Moles are covered.
6. Cooling gel
A cooling gel is applied to the skin to cool the skin and at the same time optimise the transfer of laser energy to the skin.
7. Treatment of the skin with the SHR laser device
The treatment head of the SHR laser device is moved quickly 6-10 times over the marked areas of skin. Up to 10 light pulses are emitted per second. The treatment head is cooled to minimise any redness that may occur. Advantage of the SHR technique: In contrast to normal laser hair removal or hair removal with flash light, the treatment is virtually painless!
8. Repeated cleansing of the skin
After the treatment, the skin is cleansed of the cooling gel and the white marks are also gently removed.
9. Aloe vera gel for a pleasant feeling
To care for the skin, we apply a pleasant aloe vera gel to the skin. The previously shaved hair is still in the skin after the treatment. Depending on the area of the body treated, these will fall out on their own around 5-21 days after the treatment. A hair root that has been treated and desolate in this way is no longer able to produce new hair.
